EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) tapping is the fastest, most effective method I've found for clearing phobias and specific fears. The Research Behind EFT for Phobias

The science on EFT for phobias is strong — and it's been replicated.

The landmark phobia study (Wells et al., 2003, Journal of Clinical Psychology) found that a single 30-minute EFT session significantly reduced specific phobias — and the results held up at 6–9 month follow-up.
The outcomes were achieved in less than an hour of EFT treatment. A 2010 replication and extension (Baker & Siegel, Energy Psychology) confirmed the findings — with benefits still measurable 1.38 years later from a single 45-minute session. That's one of the most striking results in the entire psychological treatment literature: a single hour of EFT producing measurable fear reduction that lasts over a year. The broader research backs this up. A meta-analysis of 14 studies covering 658 participants (Clond, 2016, Journal of Nervous and Mental Disease) found EFT produced a large treatment effect for anxiety (effect size d=1.23) — one of the largest effects measured in any anxiety treatment. For PTSD, a separate meta-analysis (Sebastian & Nelms, 2017, Explore) found an even larger effect (d=2.96), and noted that these results were achieved in just 4–10 sessions — far fewer than conventional therapies require.
Two randomized controlled trials have measured the biological effect: a single EFT session drops cortisol — the body's main stress hormone — by 24% to 43% (Church et al., 2012; Stapleton et al., 2020).

The fear isn't just "thought away." It's chemically resolved.
